Message

I create new color fields by deconstructing, painting, and dyeing fabric. Using layered craft processes such as sewing, cutting, and patchwork, I create large-scale panoramas of "gesture quilt making." I use the sewing machine as a drawing tool to trace colorful, meandering lines across soft surfaces. This process-based meditation weaves my lived experiences into a malleable mosaic.
My recent work focuses more on monochromatic exploration. I compress collages of diverse fabrics and textures, experimenting with concentrated, singular hues.
These pieces evoke abstract landscapes of sky, earth, and the spaces in between.

About Seasonal Art

Hotel Metropolitan Kawasaki's theme is “Where Encounters and Stories Begin.”
We aim to create a space that serves as a stage for weaving encounters with the city of Kawasaki, music, art, and new culinary experiences at our restaurants.

As part of this, we will regularly rotate the art displayed in 3 of the 8 locations, creating “encounters with art.”
